The Directors of Imperial Music & Media Plc, the PLUS quoted music talent investment company are pleased to announce that the company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Imperial Music Talent Ltd., has signed an exclusive licence agreement with Sunday Best Recordings Ltd. for a joint venture on the recording rights for Skinny Lister.

Sunday Best is the British music company founded and run by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank. Its primary business is as a record label but it also stages regular club nights and is the flagship organisation behind the UK music festival Bestival, which takes place on the Isle of Wight each September.

Skinny Lister are an up and coming band who topped the PRS’s recent poll for number of festivals played in 2011, gracing the stages of no less than 30 festivals, including Sunday Best’s Bestival. Confirming the signing, Sunday Best chief Rob Da Bank said “Skinny Lister are a hot new band with a growing fan base. I’m really excited about them becoming part of the Sunday Best family. They are destined for big things”.

Skinny Lister’s manager Paul Carey added: “Skinny Lister were rightly heralded as ‘the hardest working band in Britain’ by the London Evening Standard and crowned the busiest band of 2011 earning the PRS for Music’s Most Festival Appearances accolade. With Sunday Best’s backing and the release of their debut album in the summer, this is going to be the year of Skinny Lister”.

Nathan Graves, CEO of Imperial said “The relationship (recordings only) with Sunday Best will give maximum publicity to Skinny Lister ahead of their USA visit to perform as invitees to the coveted ‘South by South West (SxSW) Music Festival’ at Austin, Texas in March”.
